SECRETS FINALLY REVEALED!
I came up with Elizabitcrusher for social media1 about a decade ago, living in LA and working toward film and video game composing. That’s the bitcrusher2 part. And I always thought Eliza was a sophisticated name. I’m also delighted to be Elizabit and Crusher.3 Either pronunciation is totally cool. There you have it. Mystery solved!
On to the art:
Been workin’ on butterflies and moths lately—and developing a layered, textured style (zoom in on everything!).
I’ve also been pecking away at some surface pattern design, too. I’m putting together a family of prints at the behest of ma dukes, who’d like to re-do the half-bath. (Please peruse my patterns on Spoonflower—I’ve created a ton and I’m really proud of ‘em!)
Remember that fence-plank project I worked on last spring? I got my plank back. Since it was part of a trio, I’ve completed it to stand alone. It’s an odd size, but I think it’d look great at the head of a doorway. (Anybody want it?)
And, finally, I finished this watercolor, which is the main reason I haven’t newsletter-ed in a while.
So. Many. Little. Brushstrokes.
(And so many watercolor mistakes!).
Plus, it’s HUGE at 18”x18”. I’d like to get rid of it if anyone is interested. I’m thinking about doing a square frame, floating on a colored mat. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thank you very, very much for sticking with me, friend. I have much on my mind and I look forward to getting it down in type for your consideration.
All my love,
E
PS: Our new home is on a street full of families, so I’ve opened a snack shop in the kitchen. Please enjoy the menu I’ve made for the lil’ goofballs (and do take a guess at what actual foods and drinks these are. Leave some comments)!

A Bitcrusher is an audio effect that produces distortion by reducing the resolution or bandwidth of digital audio data (thanks, Wikipedia!). Think old low-res videogame music versus the symphonic sound capable today
As in Commander Beverly G. Crusher, MD, from Star Trek: The Next Generation, duh
