Greetings, my homies.
Got a project to share with only you!
But first, a secret:
One of my old man’s nicknames for me is Biz (sometimes Bizzer). I had a group of friends in college who adopted it. We practiced breakdancing in dorm lobbies.
That was in the twilight of 90s hip hop, from which I drew (haha) inspiration for this piece1. I originally doodled it. Then I digitized it and played with it some more. Then I put it on some things (like shirts at Amazon and RedBubble). And now I’ve made a linocut of it (and I continue to play with it).
I’ve made 15 prints, 5 of which are done and for sale. This is the first run—I hope to do more but haven’t committed to a style yet (feedback, please!).
I also attempted some lil’ gifs of how these look when light and shadow play.
And that’s what’s up.
$100 for the black and embroidered ones (3 available). I intend to make more of these, but they require a lot of work and will go up in price once I open up sales to the public.
Cheaper (name your price) for the blue spraypaint and gold ones. I don’t love ‘em and am happy to off load ‘em.
I will do a run of “seconds,” at some point, too, so stay tuned!
Much love,
Biz
